My approach to sleep difficulties reflects the most current and empirically proven treatments. I work with clients to demystify sleep and help them develop skills to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-1) is a 6-8 session insomnia treatment program that identifies and alters thought and behavior patterns that prevent restful sleep.

Studies have shown CBT-1 to be more effective than sleeping pills. CBT-1 addresses all types of insomnia, and can be used in combination with sleeping pills as clients decrease their dependence on sleep medication.
